Erie County Undersheriff Mark Wipperman reports the arrest of an individual who had three outstanding warrants in the City of Buffalo and Family Court.
On December 4, about 8:10 am, Deputies James Flowers and Cully Ferrick responded to a disturbance call at a Grand Island hotel. When the Deputies arrived they calmed the subjects down and began investigating the incident.
The male subject identified himself but could not provide the Deputies with any photo identification. After reviewing images of the subject’s alleged name it was determined that the male was not that person. The Deputies warned the subject that he could face criminal charges if he continued to provide a false name.
After further investigation, the Deputies determined that the subject’s name was David Camalleri, 30 of Grand Island. Their investigation further revealed Camalleri had an outstanding warrant from Family Court and two drug related warrants from Buffalo City Court.
Camalleri was taken into custody and was charged with False Personation – a misdemeanor. The subject was transported to the Erie County Holding Center and was being held on $250 bail.
