Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the arrest of a Lockport man after a traffic stop just after midnight on November 7, in the Town of Clarence.
While patrolling in the Town of Clarence, Deputy Lee Richard observed a vehicle operating without proper lighting. Deputy Richard initiated a traffic stop on Transit Road. As the Deputy conducted his investigation of Donald Shaw’s driver’s license it was discovered that he had ten active suspensions for failure to pay fines.
Shaw, 40 of Lockport, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle, a misdemeanor, driving without a proper license and equipment violations. Shaw was taken to the Erie County Holding Center and was being held on $2500 bail. He is scheduled to appear in Clarence Town Court on November 20.
