Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the arrest of a Rochester woman yesterday for possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia.
On patrol around the Rath Building, Deputy Adam Day observed a vehicle illegally parked. The Deputy instructed the driver to move the vehicle and he was met with a negative response. As the Deputy approached the vehicle to follow up on his instructions he observed the vehicle was missing the outside driver side mirror – initiating a traffic stop.
While performing the traffic stop, The Deputy discovered that Donna Campagna, 58 of Rochester and a SEIU 1199 Union Organizer, had an active suspension and was prohibited from operating a motor vehicle.
When the Deputy performed a search and inventory of the vehicle’s contents he discovered three suboxone packages, three oxycodone pills, a scale with white powder residue covering it and crack cocaine.
Campagna was arrested and charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle and a vehicle equipment violation. She was taken to the Erie County Holding Center and was being held on $250 bail.
