Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the arrest of three females for shoplifting and using a device to defeat store security measures to steal items from a Clarence clothing store on Monday, September 22.
Deputy Kolmetz responded to store employees’ complaints about three suspicious females suspected of shoplifting in a series of stores at a shopping plaza at 5045 Transit Road in the Town of Clarence. When the Deputy arrived, a store manager provided a description of the females and their vehicle. Deputy Kolmetz located the vehicle in the plaza parking lot near the Dress Barn store.
Kolmetz approached the vehicle and spotted a pile of clothes on the vehicle’s back seat. The suspects were questioned and could not provide proof of purchase of the clothing.
Subsequently the suspects: Tajhenne Walker, 19; Adrianna Wideman 18 and a 17 year old female, all from Buffalo, were charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property and Possession of Burglar Tools.
The three were transported to the Erie County Holding center awaiting arraignment.
