4 DWI Arrest Weekend

Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports Deputies made four different DWI arrest over the weekend.
On Friday, September 19, just after 11 p.m., Deputy Szczepanski arrested Christopher Reinhardt, 32 of Elma, and charged him with Aggravated DWI, Imprudent Speed, Following too Closely and open beverages after investigating a property damage accident at the corner of Bowen and Rice roads.  Reinhardt’s BAC was .25% - more than three times the legal limit.  He was released on appearance tickets.
Approximately 1 a.m. on Saturday, September 20, Deputy Coulombe was investigating a fight call near the Gator Bar when he pulled over a vehicle operated by Rafael Ortiz-Sanchez, 38 of Elverson, Pennsylvania the Deputy initiated the vehicle stop on Genesee Street and it was determined that Ortiz-Sanchez was intoxicated and a test revealed a BAC of .13%.  Ortiz-Sanchez was taken to the Erie County Holding Center on $500 bail.
25 year old Benjamin Becker of Akron was arrested on West Main Street and Charged with Felony DWI and other traffic infractions by Deputy Richard.  It was discovered the Becker was wanted on an outstand warrant from Amherst and he was transferred to the Erie County Holding Center pending arraignment.
Deputies Coulombe and Richard responded to a one car crash on Shimerville Road in the Town of Clarence.  The driver, Michael Keller, 51 of Elma, was charged with DWI and other traffic violations.  The investigation continues as the Deputies await the results of a blood draw to determine BAC.
