Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the arrest of an armed robbery suspect Monday, September 7, after he fled the scene.
Kyle King, 24 of Perrysburg New York, confronted the victim in her residence on Main Street in the Town of Collins. King pointed a stolen handgun in the victim’s face and demanded money. King threatened to shoot if she did not give him any money. The victim wrote a check payable to King and he proceeded to take her checkbook containing approximately 25 checks.
King fled the scene and was found a short time later by the New York State Police in the Town of Dayton.
The State Police later turned King over to the Erie County Sheriff’s Office and he was subsequently changed with: Criminal Use of a Firearm, Robbery, Reckless Endangerment and Menacing – all felonies.
King is currently being held at the Erie County Holding Center on $400,000 bond pending his next court date on September 11, in the Town of Collins.
King faces additional charges from the New York State Police.
