Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard announces the arrest of a driver with a suspended license and ten Hydrocodone pills after a traffic stop in Springville.
On July 28, approximately 11 p.m., Sheriff’s Deputies initiated a traffic stop on West Main near Route 219 in the Village of Springville. After checking the driver’s license they were alerted that Daniel Knowles’ license was suspended for failure to answer two separate summons. Knowles’ driver’s license had two active suspensions, one from the Village of Hamburg and another from the Town of Collins.
During the search of the vehicle, Deputies discovered Knowles, 35, from the Town of Collins, unlawfully possessed ten Hydrocodone pills.
Deputies placed Knowles under arrest for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a vehicle and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance – both misdemeanors. Knowles’ was released on appearance ticket with a court date pending.
