Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports a car crash, involving two motorcycles, on Mill Street in the Town of Concord, that sent four people to area hospitals.

On July 21, 2014, at approximately 2:11 PM a northbound 2011 Ford Ranger, being operated by 17 year old Brandon Lumberg of Springville, failed to negotiate curve, crossed over the centerline into the southbound lane and struck a 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle head-on.  The crash occurred on a bridge over the Cattaraugus Creek.

The operator of the 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle, 53 year old Matthew Yocum of Lancaster, was taken by Mercy Flight to Erie County Medical Center for treatment of a leg injury.  A passenger on the motorcycle, 46 year old Barbar Yocum of Lancaster, was ejected from the motorcycle and fell approximately 30 into the Cattaraugus Creek.

Another motorcycle, a 2004 Kawasaki, being operated by 48 Kenneth Kuberski of Niagara Falls, was traveling along side the Yocum motorcycle and was able to avoid the collision by sliding to a stop on the pavement..  Kuberski was transported to Bertrand Chaffee Hospital in Springville with minor injuries.

Barbara Yocum was rescued from the creek by the operator of the Ford Ranger, Brandon Lumberg and Kenneth Kuberski.  She was transported to Erie County Medical Center by Mercy Flight for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Lumberg was charged with speed not reasonable and failure to keep right.  The crash was investigated by the Erie County Sheriff's Office Crash Investigation Unit.
