Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the Saturday evening arrest of a Pennsylvania woman for DWI and other charges following a traffic stop in the Town of Sardinia.
Erie County Sheriff's Deputy Jon Hanna stopped a vehicle and trailer on Allen Rd. in the Town of Sardinia Saturday night around 9:30pm for traffic violations.
While interviewing the female driver, she gave Deputy Hanna three different names and produced a couple different identifications in an attempt to hide her identity.
Further investigation revealed the woman to probably be 50 y/o Becky D. Tingen of various states including Massachusetts and Pennsylvania.
Becky was found to be intoxicated and had in her possession 1 pill and 6 strips of suboxone, which were not properly contained or prescribed.
Becky was arrested and charged with DWI, Criminal Impersonation, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree, and numerous traffic infractions. Becky refused all further BAC testing.
Becky's vehicle and trailer were towed from the scene and she was taken to the Erie County Holding Center and held for arraignment in the Town of Sardinia Court and positive identification.
This was the 138th DWI arrest by the Erie County Sheriff's Road Patrol this year.
