Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the late evening arrest of a Buffalo man for DWI Drugs and his female passenger for illegal possession of narcotics following a traffic stop in the City of Buffalo.
Erie County Sheriff's Deputy David L. Zamorek stopped a vehicle on Delaware Ave. at W. Eagle St. in the City of Buffalo around 11:15pm on Monday night for a speed violation.
Upon further investigation and field sobriety tests, it was determined that the driver, 22 y/o Bruce K. Stoltz of Meriden St. in Buffalo, was under the influence of drugs. A small baggie of marijuana was also found on his person. Stoltz was arrested and charged with DWI-Drugs and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana. Stoltz submitted to a blood draw which was subsequently completed at ECMC.
The female passenger in the vehicle, 22 y/o Ashley E. Wiatroeski of Holly St. in Buffalo, was found to be illegally in possession of three narcotic pills. Wiatroeski was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree and released on an appearance ticket for Buffalo City Court.
Stoltz's vehicle was towed from the scene and he was later released to a third party on appearance tickets to Buffalo City Court at a later date.
