Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the late evening arrest of four Buffalo residents for outstanding warrants and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle following a traffic stop on the I-190 @ Elm St.
Erie County Sheriff's Deputies Ashley Vogl and Justin Bauer stopped a vehicle on the I-190 near Elm St. in the City of Buffalo for a traffic violation around 11:30pm Thursday evening.
During the investigation of the stop, it was discovered that the driver, 25 y/o Emmanuel E. Diaz of Winter St. in Buffalo, had 7 total suspensions on his driver's license. The two passengers in the vehicle, 29 y/o Miosoti Velazquezquinon of West Ave in Buffalo, and 24 y/o Angel A. Oquendo of Winter St. in Buffalo, each had outstanding warrants on them, Miosoti an Erie County Sheriff's arrest warrant for traffic violations and Oquendo a City of Buffalo Bench Warrant for Criminal Trespass.
While the investigation was continuing, another family member, 28 y/o Rene Garciarivera of Trammell Wk in Buffalo, arrived on the scene to get involved and was subsequently found to have an outstanding City of Buffalo Warrant for Disorderly Conduct and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance.
The driver, Diaz, was taken to the Erie County Holding Center on $250 bail for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle 3rd degree. Oquendo and Garciarivera were turned over to Buffalo Pd to answer their warrants and Velazquezquinon was taken to the Erie County Holding Center and held for arraignment on her traffic warrant.
Sheriff's Deputies Nicholas Coniglio and David L. Zamorek also assisted at the scene.
