4 DWI Arrests

     Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports multiple drivers were arrested by Sheriff’s Road Patrols over the weekend. 

     While on patrol in Clarence at approximately 11:15PM Friday night, Deputy Simon Biegasiewicz arrested Amit Misra (35) of Clarence and charged him with Aggravated DWI and traffic infractions after stopping his car for Speeding on Shimerville Road.  A breath test revealed his blood alcohol content to be .18%.  He was processed at the Clarence Station and released on appearance tickets. 

     While on patrol on the Cattaraugus Indian Reservation at approximately 5:00AM Saturday morning, Deputies Theresa Nietzel and Ryan Rogers arrested a 17 year old female (name not released due to age) from Orchard Park and charged her with DWI, Open Alcoholic Beverages and Marihuana Possession on Southwestern Blvd after being called to the area to investigate a report of a vehicle leaving the scene of a fight.  A breath test revealed her blood alcohol content to be .13%.  She was processed at the North Collins Station and released on appearance tickets. 

     While on patrol in Clarence at approximately 8:50PM on Saturday night, Deputy Biegasieiwicz arrested Matthew J. Berger (20) of Clarence and charged him with DWI, Imprudent Speed and Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Crash after investigating a hit and run crash.  A breath test revealed his blood alcohol content to be .13%.  He was processed at the Elma Station and released on appearance tickets. 

     While on patrol in Colden at approximately 4:00AM Sunday morning, Deputy Bouton arrested Dean E. Cohan (60) of Concord and charged him with DWI after finding his vehicle stopped in the middle of the roadway on Rt. 240.  A breath test revealed his blood alcohol content to be .12%.  He was processed at the Springville Station and released on appearance tickets. 

     These were the 55th – 58th arrests for DWI by Sheriff’s Road Patrols in 2014.
