Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the arrest of a Town of Grand Island man for Driving While Intoxicated. This is the 46th DWI arrest by Erie Co. Sheriff's Deputies in 2014.
Deputy Daniel Walczak and Detective Brian O'Hara responded to a report that a vehicle driven by 57 yr. old Dana Boyle, left a business on Grand Island Blvd. in the Town of Grand Island and that the operator, Mr. Boyle, appeared to be intoxicated. Mr. Boyle was located by patrol and upon further investigation, Mr. Boyle was found to be intoxicated. Mr. Boyle was taken into custody and transported to the Erie County Sheriff's Grand Island Substation. A chemical breath test was administered to Mr. Boyle and his blood alcohol content was found to be .25%, more than three times the legal limit. Mr. Boyle was charged with Driving While Intoxicated and released on Uniform Traffic Tickets returnable to the Town of Grand Island Court at a future date.
