• Narcotics Arrest - Santiago & Medina

    Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports that his Narcotics Unit assisted by Buffalo Police Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant for a residence in the Bailey avenue area in the City of Buffalo signed by New York State Supreme Court Justice Timothy J. Drury. A thirty day investigation with the assistance of the District Attorneys' Office, led to the arrest of two Pennsylvania subjects that had been bringing heroin on a regular basis to Buffalo. Several subjects from the suburbs had been observed purchasing heroin from these individuals. Arrested this date were Edwin Santiago, 27 from 3426 Dillman Street in Philadelphia, PA.  and Chayanne Colon-Medina of 1929 N. 21st Street Philadelphia, PA. Santiago was charged with criminal possession of narcotic drug with intent to sell, a B felony, criminal possession of a narcotic drug, C felony, conceal,altering, destroying physical evidence, an E felony, obstructing governmental administration, A misd. and resisting arrest. Chayanne Colon-Medina was charged with two A misd., criminal tresspass 2nd-entering remaining unlawfully in a dwelling and obstructing governmental administration. Both suspects were taken to the Erie County Holding Center to await arraignment in Buffalo City Court.
