Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the arrest of two people last night for Driving While Intoxicated by Sheriff’s Road Patrols Saturday night.
While on patrol in Elma at approximately 11:45PM, Deputy Rich O’Neil arrested Lea M. Martin (29) of Wales and charged her with Felony Aggravated DWI, Marihuana Possession and traffic infractions after stopping her vehicle for erratic operation on Bullis Road. A breath test revealed her blood alcohol content to be .25%, over three times the legal limit. The felony charge was filed due to her having a conviction for DWI from 2007. She was processed at the Elma Station and released on appearance tickets.
While on patrol in Clarence at approximately 3:30AM, Deputies Simon Biegasiewicz and Daniel Klemp arrested Carl F. Jenkins (21) of Clarence and charged him with DWI and traffic infractions after stopping his car for inadequate headlights on Salt Road. A breath test revealed his blood alcohol content to be .15%. He was processed at the Clarence Station and released on appearance tickets.
These were the 288th and 289th DWI arrests by Sheriff’s Road Patrols in 2013.
