Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the arrests of multiple persons for a variety of charges by Sheriff’s Road Patrols on Friday 12/27/13.
While on patrol in the Village of Akron at approximately 7:40PM, Deputies Simon Biegasiewicz and Daniel Klemp arrested Amanda A. Mull (29) of Akron and charged her with DWI, Narcotics Possession, Marihuana Possession, Driving with a Suspended License and traffic infractions after stopping her for not wearing a seatbelt on Mechanic Street. A breath test revealed her blood alcohol content to be .08%. A passenger in her car: Charles F. Lederhouse (23) of Akron was also arrested and charged with Narcotics Possession and Marihuana Possesion. They were both processed and released on appearance tickets for Newstead Court.
While on patrol in Hamburg at approximately 11:50PM, Deputy Dave Zamorek arrested John W. Hoogwerff (65) of Hamburg and charged him with DWI and multiple traffic infractions after the Deputy watched Hoogwerff crash into the guiderail as he was traveling west on Rt. 5, then continue driving. Deputy Zamorek witnessed the crash while he was on another unrelated traffic stop of an eastbound vehicle. A breath test revealed his blood alcohol content to be .11%. He was processed and released on appearance tickets for Hamburg Court. The Deputy was assisted at the scene by The Hamburg Police Department.
While on patrol in Buffalo at approximately 3:00AM, Deputies Biegasiewicz and Klemp arrested Larry P. Kelley (35) Of Orchard Park and charged him with Narcotics Possession (crack cocaine) after stopping his vehicle for an unsafe turn on Clinton Street. He was processed and released on appearance tickets for Buffalo City Court.
While on patrol in Buffalo at approximately 3:57AM, Deputies Biegasiewicz and Klemp also arrested Lamar T. Hillie (34) and charged him with DWI, Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Crash and multiple traffic infractions after they spotted his heavily damaged vehicle driving on the Rt. 33 Expressway with no lights on and smoking excessively. Further investigation would reveal that Hillie was involved in a car crash in Buffalo and he fled the scene in his heavily damaged vehicle. Hillie refused to submit to a breath test to determine his blood alcohol content. He was processed and released on appearance tickets. Buffalo Police completed the investigation at the original crash scene.
The DWI arrests marked the 285th, 286th and 287th for DWI by Sheriff’s Road Patrols in 2013.
